My First Published Job

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the lads in Flying in Ireland Magazine who were the first company to publish and print my work. It was an honour to have my stuff printed in this Aviation enthusiast magazine.

Watching aircraft has been a love of mine for years since the first time my father Declan took myself and my sister Juanita to Dublin Airport (EIDW). I am willing to bet he done this for the same reasons I am doing to my kids, (To give mammy a break from the mad children wreckin her head!). To-date i currently hold EICM-445thousands of aircraft images in both print and digital format, and even though i have so many on file i still manage to find myself traipsing up and down the N17 to go and see the light aircraft in Galway and some of the commercial aircraft in Knock International Airport.

My next venture is to “god willing” get a spin inside my long time love EI-BIB. BIB is currently in Sligo Airport with the lads from Sligo Aero Club. I met up with them on the open day that weekend and the gentleman who was standing beside BIB thought it strange to see this guy just walk up and Hug this aircraft. And i did. Strange as it may seem, when you have been following something for such a long time, and you have poured your heart into it, the emotion of filially getting close and being able to touch this aircraft was incredible. Yet for everyone else “Its just a bloody airplane” Well people this “Bloody Airplane” will get you from Sligo airport to Shannon airport in about an hour, let me see you do that in your Honda Civic!!
