Washing Machine: Clearing the pump

  1. Turn off the power, I cannot stress how important this is.
  2. Disconnect the plug from the mains.
  3. Remove the mains plug from the wall. Now that you have done this we can begin

2013-08-31 12.22.04

Tilt the washing maching on the side oppisite to the pump still giving you room to work. Endure the machine is on a surface that is not slippy. If the tiles of floor allows the machine to slide easily, place a damp towl unserneath the contact points of the machine to the ground.

Remove the secure screws that hold in the pump

2013-08-31 12.24.17

Remove the wiring loom, (Don’t Break it, be nice)

2013-08-31 12.24.38

Drop down the pump.

2013-08-31 12.25.20Hold over empty basin to ensure the (wife/what ever you like to call her) does not bloody kill you for making a mess of the floor.!

2013-08-31 12.27.32Unscrew and allow to drain excess water out

2013-08-31 12.25.48

Now I will make this picture bigger, I am not liking this, there is rust or more specifically copper rust, this can really mean only one thing, I am about to hit the jackpot, Payday, man its time to retire!!!!!
You see the hole at the rear of the pump where the fins are, there is going to be copper coins inside that void. You will need to shake the pump a bit and point the hole down to release the coins.

 2013-08-31 12.26.51 Ahhh Haaaa!

 2013-08-31 12.32.22 Chick-ching!!!

Now reassemble everything in reverse because I am not going to hold your hand and do it for you, mainly because I cut mine!
